Sharestation Ultimate Drivers Pack

After having browsed all the topics related to drivers packs, I wanted to find a way to merge them all in one DVD while avoiding doubles. I've seen that all the different versions are organized differently but contains near the same files (according to the different version built and shared at different times). And I've not understood alone but Grumpy Old Fart had precised in the "Every Drivers" topic where was the source site of this drivers. So I've visited it, checked the reliability and seriousness of their forums, blog and site, downloaded all then repacked it properly to share it here. All the designing steps has been realized by Epideus and myself. As the driver packs seem to be updated at least once per week, I'll try to update this pack every two months because I think that we don't always need the very latest versions to make the computers work well. Anyway if it's not enough for you, please let me know your needs.

Note that most of the drivers and BIOS not present in this DVD are available at

Description from the original driver packs author :
How did it come into existence? (A brief history)

I've started these DriverPacks because I wanted to achieve a Uniform UXPCD. Why in the world would you want support for all available hardware, I hear you thinking. Well, that's easy to explain: to be able to use these unattended Windows XP installation CD's on any**computer (of course one that's capable of running Windows XP).

So in that thread at MSFN.org I asked how I could do that. Of course people were laughing at me (a quote: "I think you'd be naive to think you'd be able to fit the (latest) drivers of every device made since XP was launched, on the one cd").

After a while I decided to just try it, and I started the DriverPack Sound. It was a hell to get it fully working, but the positive feedback kept me continuing. Later DriverPack LAN was added and also DriverPack MassStorage (this last one was started by RyanVM). In January '05 I released DriverPack WLAN, which contains about 250 drivers (at that time)! This one has without a doubt the largest collection until now. In February, DriverPack Graphics has become available. This one has been split into three parts: A, B and C. DriverPack Graphics A supports the ATI Radeon series and the nVidia GeForce and GeForce Go series (current low-, mid- and high- end GPU's), while DP Graphics B supports the older and rather exotic graphics cards. DriverPack Graphics C contains the drivers for the professional GPU's: ATI's and nVidia's Quadro series. DriverPack Chipset has also been added to the list! DriverPack Sound has also been split into two parts (A and B) because of its size. DriverPack CPU, a tiny DriverPack, contains the AMD K8 CPU drivers. This (nearly) completes the circle: all important device drivers are now available in the form of DriverPacks!

Each of these DriverPacks support the widest variety of controllers in their category: even brands of whom you've never heard are included! At the moment there is support for hundreds of devices (Chipset, Graphics (A, B and C), LAN, MassStorage, Sound (A and B) and WLAN).

If you need help with, then you can register at the DriverPacks support forum!
Commonly used description :
Perfect for PC technicians and for anyone who has a habit of losing their driver disks. When "found new hardware wizard" comes up, simply point windows to look in CD-ROM. Covers network cards, video cards, mass storage, sound cards, and ******board chipsets.

For those wondering how every driver can fit into 1.6GB, it's simple. Instead of putting hundreds of individual drivers in the file, common components are used for each type of driver, with files added that are needed for later versions of a specific type of hardware.

Edit :
I've forgotten to say that the autorun scripts on DVD and CD1 are configured to automatically starts the Windows Device Manager (MMC). The CD2 and CD3 also contain autorun files but it starts nothing. A command that starts nothing will avoid Windows to check the CD content and to open its own autorun menu when you insert the disc. I know you could just hold your Shift key down during insertion of CD but it's better when you have no such details to care about, no ?

Batch command-line content (compiled to EXE) :
@echo off
start /D "%WINDIR%\system32\" mmc.exe %WINDIR%\system32\devmgmt.msc /s

Empty autorun content :
@echo off
exit

Hey baloo, I'm a techy in Richfield, UT. Looking to streamline a ton of windows installs. What I strive on is lowering my cost, and my customers cost for work. I really feel that computer work has lost sight of what it's real occupation is. It's a service, and many technicians in the world today charge for their downtime/their time staring at a blank screen waiting for the next next button. I'd really like to see your project continued, and maybe some information about streamlining these drivers into windows disks. I'd be willing to help any way I could.
